A friend of mine wrote this quote a little while ago but it is still true what she wrote...
Have you thought about the "what will happen in 2010"? If not... don't worry! 2010 has just started and I wish you all the best for it... later on this weekend or this upcoming week I will post more about the "what will happen in 2010".

The comic industry has made it's latest contribution towards the latest press announcements about the swine flu "crisis" in europe.
The latest opinion poll on www.heute.de has made it very clear. More than 60 % of Germanys population won't go to their local doctors to receive their immunization. Most of them are afraid of side-effects during their time of treatment. Others do not believe in the vaccine of their immunization.
A few weeks ago informations have been made public in German media, that the German government has ordered the production of two different versions of the vaccine against the swine flu. One version of it with less stronger side-effect and on version with stronger side-effects. The first version was made exclusively "so the news" for the government and those who are working in hospitals and other governmental areas such as the police and other areas.
The second version of the vaccine was made for the public. No wonder why voices became louder and louder about this sort of unfairness because until today nobody really knows if the government has given such orders.
But there is still room for discussions about this story and there will always be someone who is going to open up this case over and over again...

The years spring has been quite an interesting month for me. I have started a relationship. Her name is Tina and we know each other now since 2 1/2 years. It is so funny to see how things have change during those years.
We are know in a serious relationship since the 26th of April of 2009. Almost six month =). God has been good to us and he well be good to us...
During this summer two of my fellow Seminary Students have been killed in Yemen. The families have uploaded an web-side with all details about what happened and about their life's.
A linke to this very web-side http://anitaundrita.de/
Two German women murdered in Yemen were Brake Bible College students. Anita G. (24) and Rita S. (25) were working at the Al-Dschumhuri hospital in Saada, Yemen as part of their summer internship. The hospital is run by the Dutch humanitarian organisation Worldwide Services. The women were taken hostage north of Saada on 12 June along with a German couple, their three children, a British engineer and a South-Korean woman. (At the time of writing, the fate of the others was still awaiting official confirmation.) The two women came from a Russian-German Baptist Church in the Gifhorn area near the city of Wolfsburg in Germany.
On Tuesday evening, the German TV news networks had this as their top story. The principal of the Bible College featured on many of the reports. While there is shock and sympathy in the secular media there are also many aspersions being cast which are only adding to the pain. The college has stressed that the women were not involved in evangelism but only in humanitarian work in a local hospital. If you understand German you can read the statements from the Bible College
here.
CEF Europe has had a close relationship with Brake over many years. Many former Brake students have taken our Leadership Course at Kilchzimmer and are serving the Lord across the globe. As former students ourselves, we are also deeply troubled by the news of these murders.

I know Anita and Rita very well because I went to school with them for more than 2 years. Rita and I where friends and had many occasions were we would talk a lot about the future and what would happen after we would be graduating. I remeber very well the times with our group in the school lounge or at some local places. We had a blessed.
Rita and Anita are now at a better place and I know that we will see each other again.
" We have to learn to live every day as it would be our last day"
Dietrich Bonhöffer
I think this is a very encouraging quote from Dietrich Bonhöffer who suffered and endured Nazi Germany until his death. He is one of my Heros. Anita and Rita are now at the same place joined by those who lost their life for Christ.
Even though it is hard to understand "why" this must happen we still have the same God who has everything in his hand and under his control.
"God is good and what he does is good"
A quote that is sometimes easier to accept and sometimes so hard to accept as a Christian who is still human. But one day we will! For the Lord`s decrees are just, and everything he does is fair. (Psalm 33, 4)
The unbeliever does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him. And he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. The one who is spiritual discerns all things, yet he himself is understood by no one. For who has known the mind of the Lord, so as to advise him? But we have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2, 14-16)
We will understand the "why" at one time of our life or when we have joined together with all Saints of time. :)
Please pray for all affected, especially the families, friends, school colleagues and staff in Brake.
Next week I will be flying from Cologne (Ger) to
Berlin our nations capital. It is almost like being in Washington D.C.! Buildings
have almost the same dimension. Lots of music and
arts festivals are being held in various locations. A vast variety of restaurants,
pups, and movie theaters are being found in Berlin.
But sadly I have to say that I am not going to be in Berlin to have a nice vacation =( ! But this doesn’t matter at all… I am going to be at the word of life’s DTC (discipleship training center) to work there for two weeks, to give them a hand, where a hand is needed, to encourage those who need to be encouraged, to be a motivator, to be a listener and to be just there…
Sounds like a normal day? Until my classes start in October I have lots of time to spend. And why not helping out where help is needed…
I would appreciate your prayers during
the next two weeks starting on next weeks Tuesday…
The past 10 days I have been to a small town called
Lemgo. This town has been my home during my time at Brake bible institute for
almost two and a half years. I got to see many friends and I have made new
friends. The fun part about this time was my family. Two third of my family
clan has been in Brake as well. They attended the Brake family camp, which took
place on the Brake bible institute facilities.
But soon we will pack up our camp and drive back home.
This upcoming weekend my grandparents will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Family, relatives and friends will be celebrating this big event in a wonderful hotel in the town of Frankenberg, Germany.
This is a very special date for my whole family because my grandparents are the center of the whole family. I am looking forward to this special time. I will see relatives and friends from all over the world....
This weekend is going to be very special for me because I am going to see my girlfriend... We have not seen each other for month. Yes for month! But it's going to be awesome... So Pray for a good time of fellowship and lot's of fun =).
Since Friday morning the 26th I am back in Germany. I had a save trip and God was good in his guidance and provision during the time of travel. My parents picked me up at Frankfurt international Airport. Form their we drove to my aunts house and later on back home...
It is good to be back and to sleep now in a real bed =)! A big thank you to the whole OM ships crew in Florence, SC who made me part of their team for the past three month and a big thanks to all of you who offered me a place to stay during my time of travel throughout the US.
Thank you very much... may good bless you...
Raphael
